Welcome to the Vermilion Penguins Snowmobile Club!
We have been creating winter fun since 1966. Our goal is to enhance snowmobile recreation in the Lake Vermilion and Tower Area.
Our club grooms 62 miles of trails, stakes 60 miles on Lake Vermilion, and has maintained, through the generous support of over 50 private landowners, the Iron Ore Trail between Tower and Embarrass. This is accomplished with three groomers, two stationed in Tower and one in Greenwood Township, and many hours of volunteer service.
Our Club schedules family rides on many weekends throughout the riding season and celebrates a Christmas party and end of the year party. Club meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month, October through April.
We do our part to make to make the northern Minnesota State Trail System what it is today- Thousands of miles of gorgeous, safe, and fun recreation for the whole family!
Your support will help us maintain the great quality of snowmobiling in the Lake Vermilion - Tower area.
With your membership you will receive our club newsletter, access to our many rides and social events.
Annual dues are only $10 for individuals, $20 for families, or $100 for business's.
Remember to ride safely and please respect private property. They insure our future! See you on the trails!
